Our business has a focus on providing services to the harvesting sector of the Australian sugar industry through analysing harvesting efficiencies and capability. This work is in conjunction with maximising grower/ harvester productivity and profitability. We have a core focus on Research and Development in the harvesting sector. |

Background |
Our family has been involved in harvesting for 20 years currently operating as Ripple Creek Harvesting. The Girgenti family business harvests cane in the Herbert River area and we supply cane to the CSR Herbert River Mill in Macknade. In 2001 we started a project to “Get to know our Business”. We firstly set out to measure our equipment efficiency and if it was being utilised to its maximum capacity. We also wanted to analyse how the farm layout of each one of our growers impacted on our harvesters’ efficiency. |

Product Development |
Sugarcane HELP Services has recently developed an innovative product – HELP Fuel Saver , which is currently in the commercial trial stage. |

Achievements |
In 2005 the industry recognized the importance and high quality of our work and technology by awarding us with Sugar Industry Innovator of the Year. This Australian Award was presented by the SRDC (Sugar Research and Development Corporation) and QSL (Queensland Sugar Limited). |
